Despite past seizures allegedly caused by stress, Lil Wayne willing to "work harder" in the future.
Noticeably absent from last night’s (August 25) MTV Video Music Awards, Young Money helmsman Lil Wayne spoke to fans directly via Twitter this week as he acknowledged his absence from both the VMA’s and June’s BET Awards.
The I Am Not A Human Being II architect also went on to make a bold promise as he stated that he’s willing to "work harder if it kills” him.
Ironically, Weezy’s promise to work harder comes just months after the rapper suffered from numerous seizures he says were caused due to “stress, no rest and overworking myself."

Despite Lil Wayne’s absence from the VMA’s, Young Money was fully represented at the annual music fete thanks to Drake who performed both “Started From The Bottom” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” The Nothing Was The Same rapper was also nominated for a “Best Hip Hop Video” VMA, but was beat out by Seattle duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
Lil Wayne’s Twitter apology comes just days before the release of his Dedication 5 mixtape. The project will be released on August 30 and is hosted by DJ Drama.
