Future Releases Single "Honest," Changes Album Title To "Honest"
Future changes his album title from "Future Hendrix" to "Honest" and releases a new single with the same name.
Future has switched his album title from Future Hendrix to Honest.
“Honest is the new me," Future said in an interview with Rap-Up. "It represents the truth I try to bring to my music...I plan to break the mold with this album so that it will be nothing like you’ve heard from me or any other artist out. You can either tell the truth or face the Future."
Future released "Honest," the latest single off of his upcoming album by the same name today (August 8). "Honest" was produced by Metro Boomin and DJ Spinz. The album Honest is slated to be released November 26.
In December 2012, Future spoke about the upcoming album's creative direction.
"I want to say [Future Hendrix] will be more R&B-based, but it's going to be more substance, more passion, just more down with feeling," he said. "I won't compromise who I am…I know my fans who've been down for me from Day 1. They understand the growth, and they gonna know when they hear Future Hendrix. They'll know that I'm not selling out…They're gonna understand that I'm doing music that was already happening. But I'ma still have street songs. It's gonna be street-driven…[but] it's going to be more filled up with records with substance."
"Honest" can be heard below.
