Jeremih Confirms Diddy As His Manager
Def Jam Records' Jeremih says that Diddy and James Cruz have been managing him since Spring.
Throughout the last 20 years, Sean "Diddy" Combs has managed several acts not signed to his Bad Boy Worldwide imprint (f/k/a Bad Boy Records). Mary J. Blige, who Diddy worked with at Uptown Records, took the Harlem, New York native on during the mid-1990s, while more recently, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross both announced the executive/producer and rapper's involvement in their respective management teams.
Jerehim, who is signed to Def Jam Records, is the latest artist to bring Diddy on as manager. The 25-year-old Chicago, Illinois native has released two albums, 2009's self-titled LP and All About You a year later. The onetime Top 10 debuting singer is at work on Thumpy Johnson, his third effort, while he announced Diddy taking over his manager duties.
“As of two months ago, P. Diddy and James Cruz actually took over my management,” Jeremih told Rap-Up.com. He continued, “It means a lot to me as an artist, as a writer. For Puff to acknowledge my talent and my gift, it’s a good thing.”
James Cruz, a onetime executive with Chris Lighty and Violator Management and a partner at Steve Rifkind's SRC Records, has managed the likes of 50 Cent, as well as Diddy.
