Rap Release Dates: Drake, Big Sean, Chamillionaire, Jay-Z, Wiz Khalifa

Toronto’s Drake has announced when he’ll be dropping his third studio album. Taking to Twitter, the YMCMB rapper announced that his Nothing is the Same album will be released on September 17. Drake recently released four new songs including the “Jodeci Fresstyle” featuring J. Cole, “The Motion” featuring Sampha, Migos’ “Versace” featuring Drake, and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Over Here” featuring Drake.

Big Sean’s Hall of Fame has been in the works for a long time. The Detroit emcee will drop his sophomore album on August 27. Releasing a video to announce the date, Sean’s next single from the album will be “Beware,” featuring Lil Wayne and Jhene Aiko and will premier on June 25.

Houston, Texas native Chamillionaire has released two EPs since his departure from Universal Republic Records. This year, Cham has announced the release of his next EP titled Reignfall. The project will self-release digitally and on CD July 23. Chamillionaire has not released a nationally-distributed album since his sophomore solo album, 2007’s Ultimate Victory.

A$AP Rocky is planning to drop an instrumental album titled Beauty & The Beast: Slowed Down Sessions, Chapter 1. The RCA/Polo Grounds artist said he will not announce a release date, dropping the project randomly.

Mobb Deep’s Havoc will release his second “Beats Collection” album Tuesday. The eight-track project features a sequel composition to “The Learning (Burn)” from Mobb Deep’s Infamy album. Titled The Beat Collection, Vol. 2, Hav’s latest release will include one song with himselg on the chorus, intended for emcees to make a track with.

Madchild is set to release a 14-track album titled Lawn Mower Man. The Suburban Noize Records album drops on August 6 and features Bishop Lamont, JD Era, Prevail (of Swollen Members), and Slaine (of La Coka Nostra).

Less than 24 hours ago, Wiz Khalifa confirmed the title of what will be his third Atlantic Records-backed release with Rostrum, Blacc Hollywood.

    1. That Chamillionaire and Hov is on my list to get. Checkout thegrandreport, they have some cool entertainment news on there too

    2. man i aint hating but this site gotta be more specific about some shit.. like titles, what it saying- beware’s already premiered

    3. God…there is some stupid fuckin’ album titles in there. Among the worst are “Pink Friday”, “My Name is my Name”, “Hater’s Nightmare”, “Haute Living”, and any album title that is “part 2”. Rap is so fuckin’ wack now it’s not even funny any more.

      1. my name is my name is a play on the bible and god- if you follow clipse and pusha you would know lal their album titles and mixtapes have heaven and hell themes to them

      2. Yeah…I get it. Then they (esp. Pusha-T) proceed to talk about cocaine fantasies and gangster fables. Pusha-T claimed that he got the title from “The Wire”. What a shock that a show about drugs and crime would be the source of his inspiration.

    4. WTF is pusha T- i havnt heard SHIT since his ‘late may’ album drop. how his brother no malice about to drop an album before pusha, with kanye behind him

hope he drops cuz his mixtape was fire and pusha always brings it

cant wait for jayz, pusha, eminem, maybe no malice i gotta hear his new direction, drakes got lyrics but i can wait 2 hear that album, ludacris and ill prob peep a few others

but im sure outta all those there prob be maybe 2 worth spending my money on.
