Ashanti Says She's Ready To Work With Ja Rule Again

Ashanti's upcoming album, "BraveHeart," to include appearances from French Montana, Meek Mill, and more.

Despite their past collaborative success with records that include “Mesmerize” and “Always On Time,” it’s been quite some time since Ja Rule and Long Island songstress Ashanti have collaborated on a record together. But according to Ashanti, that could soon change thanks to the rapper’s recent release from prison.

While speaking with Ebro and K Foxx of HOT 97, Ashanti shared the details of a recent phone conversation she had with Ja Rule. The singer revealed that he’s in “great spirits” and “super excited” about making new music. She also commented on their possibly being a collab with Ja Rule sometime in the future.

“Yes, I have. I spoke to him the other day and I’m super, super excited for him,” said Ashanti in a video posted on VladTV.com. “He is in great spirits…He has a studio downstairs in the house. That’s where he’s gonna be all the time. He’s super excited about the music…Hopefully, we get it all popping. It’s no denying our chemistry...I mean, he has to focus on his stuff right now. And I gotta focus on mine.”

Additionally, Ashanti offered a few details on her upcoming album, BraveHeart. The album will boast appearances from Meek Mill and French Montana as well as production from Cool & Dre, and will be released through her own label, Written Entertainment.

“I collaborated with a lot of people,” the singer revealed. “I did some stuff with Cool & Dre. I did some stuff with Detail, he’s super dope, just recently. Meek, French…Me and Ja’s gonna Skype. That’s what I’ll do and I’ll play him some records.”

Ashanti’s BraveHeart album will be released on July 30.

"50 made that man a millionaire its not his fault buck blew through it" Buck helped earned that money, and yes it was half of Curtis's fault. Buck was supposed to be his friend. You don't record friends breaking down over the phone asking for money. You also don't hold them to some bullshit contract that prevents them from getting back on their feet.

How much respect does ja have in the hood ? NONE! Ja is a SOFT ass nigga. He came in the game with wack shit and he left the game as a bitch. He waited years to come back because he was still healing from the ass whooping 50 gave him. What 50 been doing ? And what's ja been doing ...... Enough said Ja was equivalent to lil Wayne when he first drop. ... But some of you nigglets were still sucking on your mommie titties to remember that

Back Down was better than any diss Ja Rule sent 50 Cent's way. That's why 50 Cent won. Ja panicked and attacked Eminem when he didn't do anything to him, and that's where he fucked up, and that's why his career where he is now-in short, he ASKED for all those people to go after him. Maybe if Ja ignores the fact he got his ass kicked and focuses on making good music, he might be able to salvage whatever's left of his career and the respect people have of him. Real talk.

Nobody wanted to hear Ja's Diss back at 50 because everybody was on 50 dick because he was the hot new artist ja made a whole diss album blood in my eye with outlawz 2pacs group ... and ja stood his ground everybody was goin against him and never backed down ja won on streets for me 50 was meant to be a G but never done nothing to murder inc but make diss records after they stabbed him up and we sort of relize muder inc was in part of the 50 shooting and another thing at the time of the best the feds shut them down gottis was chrged with a life sentence and ja still was goin strong REALTALK QUEENS

I think you mean the ass whoopin Eminem gave him, cause 50's disses were bullshit. Ja routinely fired back at him.
