On May 13 some of the most relevant songwriters and publishers will be under one roof at the New York Public Library for the 2013 SESAC Pop Music Awards. Artists that are associated with Hip Hop culture like Joe Budden, Kid Capri, PJ Morton, Miguel, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child and more will be in attendance.

These representatives of Hip Hop/R&B culture will be in the midst of industry insiders of multiple genres and titles like Daniel Glass, Melanie Fiona, Bryan-Michael Cox, Rico Love, Angela Hunte, Nikhil Seetharam, Jacob Lutrell, Earl Hood, and the 106 & Park co-host (Miss Mykie, Paigion, and Shorty Da Prince). CEO and Founder of Glassnote Records, Daniel Glass, will be presented with the Visionary Award in recognition of his tireless dedication to songwriters and contributions to the music industry.

Multi-platinum singer Usher making a surprise appearance at last year’s SESAC Pop Music Awards to present Rico Love with the “Songwriter Of The Year Award” and Melanie Fiona performing were just some of the many notable moments at the last gala. Songwriter Jacob Luttrell won the award for Song of the Year for his hit single “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” by Enrique Iglesias in 2012.
