Longtime West Coast Hip Hop website DubCNN.com and Los Angeles, California mixmaster DJ R-Tistic have partnered to release a 79 minute mixtape that tells the story of the music both love, I have to honestly say this might be the most comprehensive and well put together history lesson on West Coast Hip-Hop that I have ever heard.

DJ R-Tistic, who tours with BJ The Chicago Kid, compiled a mix 500 songs, all performed by West Coast-based artists. R-Tistic even got drops Ricky Harris a/k/a DJ E-Z Dick, who performed on several notable skits on Snoop Doggy Dogg’s Doggystyle, along with other classic Death Row Records releases.

The mix starts in 1981 with Captain Rapp and ends in 2012 with Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city. Included elements are Electro, G-Funk, Mob Music, Underground, Hyphy, Jerk, Chicano and other styles and genres of music.
