DMX Upset Over Oprah Winfrey Network Interview About Addiction

DMX is unhappy about his appearance on "Iyanla: Fix My Life," a television program, saying that the host of the show is "toxic."

DMX is reportedly furious about his recent appearance on Iyanla Vanzant's television program on the Oprah Winfrey Network. X appeared on "Iyanla: Fix My Life," a series about self-improvement, where the rapper was asked about addiction.

"Iyanla set the whole thing up to make me look bad for ratings," he told TMZ about his appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Network show. "That lady is toxic ... My last words to her were that she can suck my dick and she still can."

According to X, he was also tricked. TMZ reports that DMX believed he was going to be asked about an addiction to women instead of an addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Part of the interview can be seen below. In it, DMX speaks freely about his battles with drugs, alcohol and suicidal thoughts.

In the episode, DMX also reunited with his son. The two had not seen each other in over a year. They reconnected in a tumultuous conversation that included tears, arguing and yelling. "I can't talk to you because of all you've done," X's son explained on the show. "I hope you didn't think I didn't love you," X said. This portion of the interview can be seen below.

During their talk, X's son Xavier also asked his father to be clean in order for the pair to continue having a "healthy relationship." X rejected the idea. "I love you," DMX explained. "I'm not gonna change for anyone." He continued, by saying "love is unconditional." This clip also ends with some yelling and arguing.

DMX has discussed his drug addiction in the past. He's also discussed how his various arrests have impacted his children. "A couple of times, my children have actually seen me be arrested," he said in 2011. In similar fashion to this recent news regarding the OWN show, X also expressed his displeasure with how he has been depicted in the media, saying, "I'm not the person the media portrays me to be."

Certain situations and life experiences aren't meant for a camera to be in the room recording, this was one of them.

"so what. Who the f*ck is she to mind her bussiness like that into someone's life? The worst thing she acts like she knows DMX's history and she talks like she talks in the name of God" That's her job to get into people's business. So she was out of line for raising her voice, but X was acting mature when he told her, "fuck you"? lol You can't sugar coat addicts, cause they thrive off the self pity, and those who feel sorry for them. This way they never have to change because people don't challenge them to.

DMX is absolutely in the right as far that relationship is concerned. It is about unconditional love. Setting a condition like 'you have to be clean' is completely selfish, essentially saying I will only give you my love if you act how I want you to act. That woman is TOXIC, all up in the ear of the son telling him 'ask for want YOU want' 'no, don't feel like you have to give your father a hug' 'I bow to you and your self-centered desires' That woman sounds like Lucifer in the flesh. DMX is the realest and never runs from his problems. He stands with the Truth, accepts who he is and all he has done, and he wants to get better but he won't make promises he feels he can't keep. Oprah should be ashamed to be supporting the promotion of destroying a family. Be strong Dark Man X. I see you and God sees you. Those who suffer on earth but live true keep their treasure stored in Heaven.

Shut the fuck up. DMX has done alot of damage to his kids, something a hug isn't going to fix. I realize X is only human, but he's choosing to ignore and hurt his family through not being there. Why would his son would even show up for that surprises me.

"you don't give someone you love an ultimatum" So it's better for them to continue lying to your face? People have given X the benefit of the doubt for too long. He needs people up in his face telling him what he is... A piece of shit.

The only piece of shit here is you.

all she had to do was leaving the room for a moment. I think they could've talked more seriously if that puppetmaster wasn't sitting behind DMX's son.

      It's her show.

so what. Who the f*ck is she to mind her bussiness like that into someone's life? The worst thing she acts like she knows DMX's history and she talks like she talks in the name of God and that her word is the truth. This BS belongs in a circus. She tries to manipulate DMX's son and DMX. But DMX's reaction is right. If his son wants to talk with him, they can do it in private or with a learned and experienced psychiatrist. Oprah, Dr Phil, iyanla or who the fck... shows like these gets too much attention by zombies of any society. These shows are filled with poisonous sentences. I've watched the complete show of iyanla who "interviews" DMX. She didn't even listen to what he said. Sure DMX needs to accept his issues/ problems with drugs, sure he needs to look for help, because he can't make it on it's own, sure he needs a lock up of 6 months or more with professional support in an hospital...and on and on. But if you seen the whole video of an hour, DMX is a very sensitive individual and as long as I remember DMX he always has been. If his son recommended to see his father trough this show, well I think it was the wrong move to make. DMX clearly showed his disrespect because of the cameras and the media attention, yeh ok he became angry sometimes and started the yelling, but that's very common for someone who's so emotional. And drugs, any drugs, plays very heavy on your common sense. I think in other circomstances, the father and his son would have a different meeting.

    • Anonymous
Let me get this straight. His son should be proud his father is a raging drug addict who cheated on his mom with scores of women. Ruined his career, has tons of other kids he doesn't support or spend time with, but what the fuck. Great to see you dad lol

This "show" is bullshit. It shouldn't be called "Fix My Life". Instead, it should be called "Ruin My Life" because that's what this lady is doing to DMX. People that truly want to help fix someone's life don't use that persons kids to help change their life. And they certainly dont put that person on t.v. If they really wanted to help DMX they would sit with him out of the fucking public eye and have some psychiatrist talk to him. The fact that the lady made DMX's son give him an ultimatum is just sickening and that lady is fucking evil. She sat there and instigated the whole fucking thing and made the situation worse than what it was before. THAT ISNT FIXING ANYTHING YOU DUMB BITCH. This is fucking crucifixion of DMX in the public eye. Yeah he has problems but not everyone is perfect. And this isn't the way you go about trying to help someone by giving them an ultimatum. That bitch shouldn't have her own fucking show because she doesn't help shit.

The real way to help DMX is to hire Ja Rule to fuck his wife and that'd make eeeeverything fine!!
    • Anonymous
She had the guts to stand up to this bully. X is the equivalent of a mean drunk. Anytime someone says something he doesn't like he goes into attack mode. Honestly, dude needs his ass kicked, and since he looks so frail, I'm sure even Shia Lebouf could do it.

Ja Rule texted DMX after the show aired and told him to watch his fucking back cause anyone who would act that way in front of their son deserves a hollow tip slug fired into their ass.

DMX is a selfish prick. All his kid wanted was for him to try and get clean so they could have a relationship again and he storms off like an angry old man who refuses to believe he has a problem.
    • RealTalk
he did not storm off because his son asked him to be clean. he stormed off because of that lady. love is unconditional, you don't give someone you love an ultimatum
