Freeband Double D, a music executive who was associated with acts like Future and Young Scooter, was gunned down yesterday, April 11 while on Atlanta’s Interstate 20.

According to GlobalGrind.com, at the time of the shooting witnesses saw numerous shots being fired at Double D’s Maybach from a white SUV.

Following the shooting, which occurred during rush hour, Double D was taken to nearby Grady Memorial Hospital, but later died of his injuries. No arrests have been made in the shooting.

Future was one of several artists to express his condolences earlier today via Twitter.

On top of his work as a music executive, Double D also boasted a career as a music artist and can be seen rapping in a handful of videos on his YouTube page.
