The Weeknd “Kiss Land” Cover Art, Release Date & Tracklist

The Weeknd’s next album will be titled Kiss Land.

Though no release date is set, the singer-songwriter has released the album title and cover art for the project. The cover art features the album title as a neon green sign over an all-black background (spotted at HHNM):

Kiss Land is a follow-up to 2012’s Trilogy, a repackaging which joins mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence, with three tracks added.

Earlier this year, Trilogy was certified gold in the United States.

In January, Weeknd hinted at a project, posting a picture of two folders labeled “2013 untitled album” and “2013 art work” on Twitter.

      1. Word though. As much as people hate Drake, he’s the main reason why this dude blew up. Now he wanna sign elsewhere and act all shady. That’s like Drake leaving Young Money and signing to Roc Nation after Wayne introduced him.

      2. So you’d accept less money in your pocket, and always be considered under another man’s name than to carve your own lane? Drake exposed him to a wider audience, true, but it’s not like he crafted his style, wrote his songs, etc. He saw a better opportunity and took it – we don’t know the details exactly of what Drake offered for the OVO deal, but we can assume it wasn’t enough.

      3. But I do agree about the title and artwork (thinking this’ll be different by the time of release), very underwhelming.

      4. @MC. You’re right, Drake didnt write his songs but because of him, he’s more known. And i doubt the deal wasn’t good at OVO. Drake seems like the type of dude to take care of his niggas. Nevertheless its about respect and loyalty. Picture Em leaving Aftermath after he achieved success

      5. Yeah that shit is kinda shady I didn’t know that. The Weeknd would not be relevant if it were not for Drake’s cosign. IF his music was not as good as it is then no one would even think twice. There are plenty of artist that get cosigns but look what happened to them. On the flip side of that there are plenty of talented artist that will never blow and could use a co sign.

      6. At the end of the day he did what he had to do signing up friends ain’t always a good look where the fuck are D12 at? Jay & Bleek for example same goes for Nas an Braveheartz.
Don’t get me wrong Drake gave him a buzz ona bigger scale but shit Dre didn’t take it to heart when Snoop decided to go elsewhere & TIP ain’t sour bout Meek heading over to MMG shiiit he released him from the deal.

      7. It probably wasn’t down to either artist. You think Drake sat down with The Weeknd’s management, wrote up a contract himself and then diced numbers with them? I mean I know he’s Jewish but come on, he’s a rapper.

      8. The Weeknd probably doesn’t want to be signed to a man, that’s signed to another man, that’s signed to another man. The money gets way to thin by the time it hits your pockets.

He also probab;y didn’t want to feel obligated to have the entire YMCMB roster all over his album. Fuck all that. Good move by The Weeknd.

      9. do some research on this guy. drake didn’t craft his style or write his songs but another dude did. he even stole the name weeknd from another guy.

    1. The Weeknd?? they serious?? that sounds like some kind of homo club. we should never accept this new wave of gay hiphop.

    2. DAAMMNNNNN THE WEAK-END IS DOING “BIIIIGGGG” THINGS MAN…. THAT NIGGAS EATING…. A LIL TOO MUCH FUCKIN DRAKE CAKES AND COCK BURGERS ON THE WEEKENDS… HIT A GYM NIGGA… SHIT. AND GET VOCAL LESSONS WHILE U AT IT SO UR VOICE DONT FUCKIN CRACK AND WINE ON EVERY SONG… PUSSY

HIPHOP SAID IT.. AND WHY THE FUCK ARE WE COVERING A BS RnB CORNBALL?!!!! BCZ HE CUSSES ON RECORD? THIS NIGGA SOFTER THAN WILLOW SMITH SUNNNN LOL, NOT IMPRESSED. IF THIS IS THE FUTURE OF MUSIC … THE GENERATIONS TO COME ARE FUCKED ROYALLY

    3. AND GET A FUCKIN HAIR CUT NIGGA UR SHITS ALL OUTTA WACK BITCH… FUCK IS DEM SOME UNDONE DREADS NIGGA? HHAHAHAAAAAA…. LOOK LIKE UR HAIR HAD A LONG WEAK-END

      1. i think he meant “the weakened,” in which case he would be wrong. i used to think that too until abel himself said that it’s pronounced like “weekend.”

    4. I personally relate to artists who get very personal like The Weeknd, Kid Cudi, etc… But I can see how his music is not for everyone. I didn’t like his music at first but it caught on quick. Fuck a album name and cover art, the music will be dope.

    5. Can’t fuckin’ wait. The Weeknd is hands down the best vocalist, RnB singer, songwriter, you name it nobody is even close. The emotion he conveys through his music is unprecedented. Drake did help put a spotlight on The Weeknd but they are in two completely different lanes. I personally would hate to see Abel with YMCMB. This guy is truly gifted. XO til we overdose

    6. wheres ja rule at when u need a nigga put in his place, best believe rule would put in on ya bitches.. ITS MURDAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

    7. The Weekend iz a closet gay juss like Frank Ocean datz why he makez da same style of pop muzik. my bosses and close friendz Weezy F., Birdman and Drake do hate gay ppl. so we rejected Abraham from da label. swag

    8. 1. Ecstasy
      2. Kiss Land
      3. Heaven
      4. Dreaming
      5. Scream (feat. Andre 3000)
      6. Threat
      7. Soothsayer
      8. L.O.V.E. (Life Only Vilifies Enemies) (feat. Kanye West)
      9. Rockstar
      10. Knock You Out
      11. Who Knew (feat. Frank Ocean)
      12. The Calm
      13. Once Bitten, Twice Shy

    9. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    10. Some nobody started feeling himself. I guess it would popped off if i was willing to help – Drizzy

    11. SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY FREEFORMERS!!!!

      #rosemaryrinse #hatsdontfit #napzfaya #datdudedave08 #cupidvalentino #zayloc23

      youtube family!!!

    12. Looked better without him on it.

Also I doubt I will bother with this, the title alone steers me away.

    13. Yal are just hatters, this album is going to be beyond freaking awesome obviously yal havent heard the releases from this album. And its a big deal for him to post a picture of his face, let alone put it as his album cover.Clearly yal have no clue about him, let alone his music

      1. FOR REAL!!! I mean if they were true fans and knew him then they would understand that he had issues with liking his appearance and stayed in “the dark” for so long. I feel this is a HUGE step for him he has been doing concerts and everything he is making moves in his life and showing his face to the world. I love I and I cannot wait until his album drops.

      2. lol…read his Complex Magazine interview. He never had issues with the way he looked. His fans are just extra emo.

    14. All these anonymous fudge heads can suck it! I don’t see y’all being famous and making music so they have no right to make these rude comments! F**K OFF

    15. I expect an R&B classic, much better than Frank Ocean’s album Channel Orange wich was all hype because he’s gay
This dude is the next MJ vocally, minus the performing skill, nobody can touch MJ on that matter

      1. You must be deaf because Channel Orange is great album, hype or not. I expect Kiss Land to be great as well.

      2. ^^ He didn’t say Ocean’s album was a bad album. He said he thinks it’ll be a better album than Ocean’s.

      3. ^^He implied that the album wasn’t worth the attention it got, and cited Frank Ocean’s sexual orientation as the reason for the albums success. I think that was pretty ignorant.

    16. I personally think that this will be weaker than Frank Ocean’s album, but expect something marginally better than “Nothing But The Same”. I would like to see some features though…

    17. Should be a dope album…..waiting to see if it’ll be better than “Trilogy”….we’ll see…
