Last month, MC Hammer was arrested in Dublin, California for obstructing an officer in the performance of their duties and resisting an officer.

Hammer claimed that officer pulled out his gun and asked, “Are you on parole or probation?”

Regardless of what happened, Hammer took to Twitter yesterday (March 9th) to inform fans that the charges have been dropped:

No further details have been provided, but given Hammer’s claims that the stop was racially-motivated, it is possible that the rapper could pursue legal action.

Up to this point, Dublin police have refuted Hammer’s claims that the arrest had anything to do with his race, stating that the rapper was arrested for being uncooperative and argumentative.
