After Lil Wayne went on a rant last week about the Miami Heat and stating that he “fucked Chris Bosh’s wife,” Pitbull took to the studio to record a diss track that went against Weezy over Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” instrumental. Meanwhile, Turk chopped it up with HipHopDX in an exclusive interview where he opened up about his heroin and cocaine usage and how it impacted his career. Finally, Bun B spoke on his top five favorite contemporary rappers, running down a list of unexpected emcees and those whose names often appear in the conversation.

Pitbull Disses Lil Wayne On “Welcome 2 Dade County”

Pitbull wasn’t the only one to take offense to Lil Wayne’s comments regarding the Miami Heat and how he “fucked Chris Bosh’s wife,” but he’s the first to take it to wax. Weezy, who went on a rant over NBA All-Star Weekend, ruffled the feathers of Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell and Trick Daddy, eliciting responses from Hip Hop figures across the board. But Mr. 305 put it on a record, rhyming over Baauer’s breakout hit “Harlem Shake” on his own remix “Welcome 2 Dade County.” On the cut, he points the barrel at Cash Money owners Baby and Slim, rapping, “You got money, yeah that’s sweet / But we all know Slim and Baby really eat / You talk Miami, yes you talkin’ Heat / Moral of the story, don’t shit where you eat.” Wayne responded shortly after on Twitter: “Dam pit bull bro I thought u was kool,” he wrote. Pit replied, “I am cool papo but imagine me shitting on anything new orleans which I was just there for super bowl the big easy I loved it. the world shows me love and vice versa but miami is all I got no disrespect just the truth.”

Turk Details Substance Abuse, Addiction To Heroin & Cocaine

Turk didn’t hold back during his interview with HipHopDX earlier this week. The former Cash Money affiliate, who recently released his mixtape Blame It On the System, opened up about his struggles with cocaine and heroin addiction, stating that he influenced B.G. to get hooked on the stuff and didn’t intend to let it get out of hand. “I was shooting heroin and cocaine, and I introduced B.G. to shooting heroin and cocaine,” he said. “We was on the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders tour. B.G. had been getting high; I had been getting high. In New Orleans, Uptown, that’s the drug of choice, heroin. You got kids, 12, 13-years-old on heroin.” Read the explosive interview here.

Bun B Names His Top Five Contemporary Emcees

Bun B has become a veteran emcee on the Hip Hop circuit, but he’s got his eye on a few other rappers. During an interview earlier this week, the UGK member ran down a shortlist of five emcees that he’s currently feeling, naming Dizzee Rascal, Yelawolf and Kendrick Lamar as some of his favorites. “I’d probably have to say Kendrick Lamar. Having Dr. Dre as an overseer definitely helps, but he’s very tenacious. He’s very raw and he’s hype all the time. He’s very excited to be rapping at any given moment,” he said. In addition to naming Royce Da 5’9, he also engaged in a little ego stroke. “Number five is me. I just had to go there,” added Bun.
