In 2011, Pitbull scored one of the biggest hits of the year with “Give Me Everything,” featuring Ne-Yo. But a line referencing Lindsay Lohan could have led to legal problems – until now.

TMZ reports that Lindsay Lohan’s 2011 lawsuit against the rapper for using her name in the song has been resolved in Pitbull’s favor.

Specifically, Lohan sued Pitbull for the line, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan,” claiming that the Miami rapper never got permission to use her name and therefore should not be allowed to profit off of it.

A New York federal judge disagreed, holding that Pitbull’s speech is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Pitbull responded to Lohan’s lawsuit in 2011, stating he meant no harm by the line. He later filed a countersuit against Lohan.

The case has been dismissed.
