Skee-Lo's "I Wish" To Appear In Toyota Super Bowl Ad

Skee-Lo's career-defining 1995 hit will be one of the many songs licensed during Super Bowl XLVII's ads.
Tomorrow (February 3), Super Bowl XLVII will be played at 6:30pm EST on the CBS network. The match between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers will be interrupted with the reportedly record-breaking $4,000,000 per 30-second advertisements. One early report confirms that 1990s Los Angeles, California emcee Skee-Lo's song "I Wish" will be integrated into one such spot.
Yesterday (February 1), a media rep for the rapper's catalog confirmed that Toyota will be using the 1995 hit song from the album of the same name. In large thanks to a popular video, the Scotti Bros. Records single peaked at #13, with the album failing to crack the Billboard Top 50 in its release year. Skee-Lo, an affiliate of Project Blowed, would later appear as a host on MTV's Beach House and The Grind.
Last year, Skee-Lo released Fresh Ideas in November, his third album.
