Beefs are a funny thing in Hip Hop. If they're (hopefully) not long and dragged out, they have people tuned in for a very short amount of time. Then they kind of fade away. Remember Cassidy and Meek Mill's lean beef? Sure, that happened at the close of 2012 and mostly all Cassidy, but it was enough to captivate the Rap audience for a brief period before everyone said, "Enough already." We have one of those this week, and it involves Lil B and Joey Bada$$. Who won? Well, check the results below.
G.O.O.D. Music Meets Maybach Music Group and the Results Are Favorable
Pusha T was talking about Wrath of Caine for a while, and it never seemed to arrive. It finally did, and this little gem "Only You Can Tell It" appeared on it. The track features Wale, and it made it right to the Top Singles list. It's good to see G.O.O.D. with MMG. Speaking of MMG, the kingpin Rick Ross showed up quite a bit this week. Ross reached #4 with Kendrick Lamar on the "Don't Kill My Vibe Remix," along with Wiz Khalifa on Curren$y's track "Choosin" at #9. Then Ross closed out the list at #10 with "Box Chevy."
Lil B and Joey Bada$$ Have a Beef, But Why?
Way back when, Joey Bada$$ dropped the song "Survival Tactics." It featured the late Capital STEEZ, and on the track STEEZ said, "They said hard work pays off? Well tell the Based God don't quit his day job." Lil B decided to take Joey Bada$$ to task over a year later for the line from his friend who is no longer here to respond. Lil B's track is called "I'm the Bada$$" and it's in at #6. Joey turned right around with his own diss - reiterating STEEZ's sentiment - "Don't Quit Your Day Job" in at #2. Guess we know who won this round.
