Though rapper Gunplay is currently on limited house arrest, he’s keeping busy. The Def Jam signee, who is facing charges on robbing a man at a Miami, Florida tax business, most recently dropped off his new mixtape Cops N Robbers and is prepping the release of his studio debut Medellin, which he will begin promoting after his court date on February 27th.

During an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, the Rick Ross affiliate said that he’s got a few collaborations in store for Medellin. Gunplay reveals that he has a track with Pharrell Williams titled “Steel Drums” and that he’s waiting to get back vocals from Big Sean for another collaboration.

“Expect Pharrell on there, I’ve been working with him recently,” he said. “I got one with him called ‘Steel Drums,’ and I’m finna do another one featuring Big Sean. I’m just waiting for the vocals back and stuff. It’s going to be huge.”

While he’s focused on his album, Gunplay, who is repped by Prince Kennedy, is also shipping verses to other artists. He says that he will appear on Lil Wayne’s upcoming album I Am Not A Human Being II, releasing March 26th,

“I’ve been working with a few cats. I got one with Turk, a couple of fools, and I’m on Wayne’s new album coming out. I’m on that,” he said. “There’s so much man, I don’t know where to start. Yo Gotti joints, you’ll hear me on a lot of stuff. Videos, too. Once I get off the bracelet, I’ll get back to videos and shit like that.”

Gunplay previously spoke with HipHopDX about how Rick Ross is holding up after a drive-by shooting took place earlier this week, stating that he’s in good spirits.

UPDATE: Gunplay has announced that he has since changed his solo debut album title, as announced in January of this year.

“[I’m] ready to put out the album, [I] changed the name from Medellin. Now it’s Living Legend—and Living Legend for real, for real, for real.” Gunplay emphasized to HipHopSince1987.com. “That’s what I am. That’s just how I feel.”

While Living Legend has no official release date, ‘Play stressed that it will release in 2013.
