Many listeners were surprised to hear PushaT rocking over a Young Chop production on “Blocka” after the two exchanged words back in May. In a recent interview with XXL, however, the budding Chicago producer explains how he and the G.O.O.D Music emcee worked past their feud.

According to Chop, he and Pusha T side-stepped their past issues while working on Pusha’s first single “Blocka” off his upcoming Wrath of Cain mixtape. Chop even revealed that the Clipse alum enlisted him to contribute to his long-awaited G.O.O.D. Music debut.

“I gave the beat [for ‘Blocka’] to Travi$ Scott a minute ago in New York and then he put the hook down and then he gave it to Pusha,” he said. “Then his people hit me up and were like ‘We’re going to make this his single,’ and I’m like, ‘Huh? I never heard the song.’ Then I met him in L.A., we were in the studio together and he started playing me the song and I’m like, ‘Dang, that’s it.’ I’m working on his album too. He’s a cool dude though. We didn’t even have a conversation about our [past beef], we just started making music.”
