Big Sean Says "Grade A" Rappers Contributed To "Clique" & "I Don't Like (Remix)" But Didn't Make It

Big Sean also revisits the possibility of recording a song with Eminem.

The G.O.O.D. Music family scored a few hits from its Cruel Summer album including Big Sean, Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Clique" and the remix to Chief Keef's "I Don't Like."

But the rappers who made the final cuts weren't the only ones who recorded verses for the tracks. During an interview with Tim Westwood, Sean Don said that "Grade A" rappers laid 16s to the songs but that 'Ye didn't choose them for the finished products.

"What happened on 'Don't Like' is I got to it last. They didn't even want me on the song and I heard it and was like, 'Let me get a verse on this song,'" he said. "But look. There was other peple who did verses for that and they didn't keep that shit but they kept mine. I can't tell you [who]. A lot of people had verses to 'Clique' though. They were real legit verses, didn't make it. Real grade-A rappers. Didn't make it. Just me, 'Ye and Hov."

Big Sean previously expressed interest in linking with Eminem to collaborate for a track on his sophomore album Hall of Fame: Memoirs of a Detroit Player, and says that it's a possibility since Marshall extended an invitation for them to vibe in the studio.

"Let me tell you something. Em reached out ot me and was like, 'Come to the studio, come hang out when you get a chance.' We gon' make that happen. He's the legend right there," he said.
