Roc-A-Fella Records has been honored with 8 Grammy nominations. "I'm extremely proud of Jay, the Young Gunz, Juelz and the entire Roc-A-Fella team," commented CEO Damon Dash. "The nominations are obviously a great honor to Jay, and with the Young Gunz and Juelz, I think it's indicative of what people can expect from Roc-A-Fella in the future." Also this week, Jay-Z's The Black Album reclaimed its position at #1 on the Billboard charts, with sales exceeding a million copies in just three weeks.

Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group: "Dipset (Santana's Town)," Juelz Santana featuring Cam'ron and "Can't Stop Won't Stop," Young Gunz, from State Property Presents The Chain Gang Vol. 2.
Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: "Crazy in Love," Beyonc feat. Jay Z and "Frontin'," The Neptunes feat Pharrell and Jay Z.
Best Rap Song: "Excuse Me Miss," Shawn Carter, Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams from the Blueprint 2: The Gift and the Curse.
Best Rap Album: Jay Z, Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse.
Best R&B song: "Crazy In Love," Beyonc feat. Jay Z.
Best Female R&B Vocal: "Crazy In Love," Beyonc featuring Jay Z.
Blackalicious' The Gift of Gab is going solo. His debut, Fourth Dimensional Rocketships Going Up drops February 28. Track highlights include: "The Writz," the album's first single, "Rat Race" and "Real MCs."
On December 2, Paramount Home Entertainment released "1 Love," one of the year's top-rated documentaries on DVD. From the director of the Academy Award-winning "When We Were Kings," "1 Love" celebrates America's love of basketball, documenting everything from its beginnings through the evolution of street ball to present-day and its influence on hip-hop.
