Tech N9ne Promises “Boiling Point” EP Will Be “Darker”

Fresh off the release of September’s E.B.A.H. (Evil Brain, Angel Heart), rapper Tech N9ne is  back at it with a new project titled Boiling Point. Now, in a recent interview with HotNewHipHop, the Strange Music impresario gave a few details about his upcoming EP. Although he kept tight-lipped about the impending release, which is due out this October 30, Tecca Nina promised fans that Boiling Point will be a darker affair than E.B.A.H.

“It’s like this…[my next project is] gonna be like another EP,” he revealed. “It’s gonna be darker, and it’s probably gonna be on Halloween – I don’t know.”

Tech also reacted to his recent inclusion on The Source’s Power 30 list, which also included the likes of Jay-Z and Rick Ross. He said that it was an honor to grace the list as an independent artist, and it’s a sign that people are really responding to Strange Music’s ethos.

“It’s a beautiful thing because we’re independent and we use our own money, me and Travis O’Guin,” he said. “To see all our work and all our dreams come to fruition – it’s a beautiful thing to look and see Jay-Z, Tech N9ne and then Rick Ross and Russell Simmons [on the same list]. That means I’m doing something good and right.”

    1. Tech is nowhere near Jay Z in terms of overally talent, money, and total album sales. You could make a case about Tech being bigger than Ross in terms of people responding more to his releases, where Ross doesn’t get that respect from fans who don’t run out and support his work.

      1. Talent is debatable, but of course he’s gonna have less money and album sales. He’s an independent artist who’s only started to get some attention from the mainstream in the last three, maybe four years, and only some major, regular exposure in the last couple. Although that said, his money’s gonna be more than people think due to his sales money not having to go to any major label with a shoddy deal.

      2. obviously he doesn’t have jay z money but i guarantee you his bank account isn’t lacking…he’s the ceo of strange music…that whole empire is his. all the guys on that label who for an independent label are successful, do shit loads of shows all year long as well as himself constantly dropping albums and touring. he’s crazy successful

      3. Tech vs. Jay Z is not a comparison. Jay Z appeals to people who live on the streets and sling crack all day, because that’s how he made his money. Started rapping a hundred grand in the black. Don’t try to play me, Jay bought as much of his success as Tech worked for his. Not saying Jay didn’t earn his money, but come the fuck on. He bought his way into the circle. Tech is biting his fucking way into the circle like a man with a mission, and I, as do others, respect the fact that he does the music for THE MUSIC not the fucking money, although he loves it. Tech loves his fans, when’s the last time Jay-Z took the time out of his tours to hang for an hour with his fans EVERY SHOW?! fuck that comparison you have no idea what you’re talking about.

    2. This will be darker than EBAH? I’m not sure how I feel about this, Don’t Tweet This was WAY too dark and gritty for my tastes.

      1. Dark doesn’t mean heavy tbh.
For every pseudo aggressive song on KOD there was another much more chilled one (such as The Martini) that was equally dark.

    3. Tech’s career is the american dream

Do whatever the fuck you want, whenever the fuck you want, however the fuck you want, and still become a multi-millionaire anyway.

      1. Whats even funnier is when you simple simons are stupid enough to believe he worships satan

“I SAW A SCARY PICTURE ON THE COVER, HE MUST WORSHIP DA DEVIL DDEEERRRPPPP!!!!!”

    4. “that whole empire is his”

It’s not. Travis O’ Guin is the one who really put this empire together and who probably is banking half of what Strange Music is worth.

    5. “Talent is debatable”

That’s a laughable statement. Jay has gone platinum every time out, doing all types of songs. Doing albums with slower beats. Up until recently, Tech was a fucking devil worshipper. He caters to indie fans who don’t even buy albums.

      1. Shut the fuck up idiot, Tech was never a devil worshipper,, I guess you think every director who ever made a horror movie is satanic as well dont you

And talent is always debatable, you arrogant fuck

      2. Cracks me up the way people talk about “devil worshippers” and “God” and “angels”… live in the fuckin’ real world instead of fantasy shit no-on knows anything about.

    6. “I guess you think every director who ever made a horror movie is”

Directors don’t paint their face, and rap about the twisted stuff this dude does. I know he’s your hero, but pick up a bible for a change. It just might give your life some much needed hope.

    7. look at all the hate none of u get his music cause if u did ud know his a pretty religious guy

HOPEFULLY he’ll go back and we can forget every release since all 6’s and 7’s

    8. wtf is every1 on about.tech paints a picture in ur head about the darkness and talks about the devil and shit but hes just a klusterfuk he is like most people confused about religeon.i have not god fuck jesus christ, mohammeds a peodo, how do u no they evan existed?a retard could of write the bible and u gullible twats think its real lmfao.i love that strange music

    9. i wonder if tech has ESP he always talks about dreams he’s had

he even seen the strange music logo in a dream

another thing me and tech have in common

    10. iv listen to tech for a bit now and the only thing that really stood out to me was he mentions the book of exodus somtimes

could be good or could be evil i dont really know

    11. “a retard could of write the bible”

I seriously doubt you could write a Cliff Notes version of Barney.
