Despite scoring some major accolades with her recent Fantasea mixtape, it looks like all is not right in the world of Azealia Banks. Now, in a recent report from Fact Magazine, it looks like the next single from her aforementioned tape had to be pulled earlier today over a dispute with her producer.
According to the report, Banks had used a 2010 production from DJ/producer Munchi on her recent project, and was preparing to release the track – titled “Esta Noche” – as her next single. According to Munchi, however, Banks and company went forward with utilizing the song in a commercial capacity without ever seeking his consent.
Munchi took to Twitter earlier to blast the Harlem rapper, calling her “a spoiled brat” and refusing her management team’s $25,000 offer for the rights to his production.
@azealiabanks no releasing my track, being a spoiled brat, releasing coverwork, release dates before even reaching out is a good look right?

@azealiabanks Tell your camp the deal is off I don’t want your fucking $25.000. Fuck off. Go be a puppet bitch to someone else.

Oh damn.. Now you wanna double it, u sure are a pathetic excuse of an artist. NO I DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH YOU OR YOUR APOLOGY.

No stranger to Twitter herself, Banks responded with a few barbs of her own at Munchi’s eexpense and announced her intentions to continue with filming a video for the single.
k so esta noche won’t be being released today because @originalmunchi thinks I’m in the illuminati . . .
