Kris Humphries Signs With Brooklyn Nets, References Kanye West's "Cold" Line

After Kanye West mockingly threatened to have Kris Humphries dropped from the Brooklyn Nets on "Cold," the NBA forward re-signs with the team for $24 million and pokes fun at the song.
As various NBA off-season transactions continued this week, Brooklyn Nets power forward Kris Humphries re-signed with the team—opting for a two-year, $24 million contract. Humphries jumped from the tabloid circuit to an Internet, Hip Hop meme earlier this summer when Kanye West referenced him on “Cold” (formerly named “Thera-Flu”) Taking a thinly veiled shot at the man once married to Kim Kardashian for 72 days, West rapped the following:
“And I admit I had fell in love with Kim / The same time she had fell in love with him / Well that’s cool baby girl do your thang / Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team…”
The Nets are not a publicly traded company, so they are not required to disclose what percentage of the team Jay-Z owns. But various reports indicate his share stands at about 1.47%. Apparently that wouldn’t be enough to get Humphries “dropped from the team.” On Tuesday, Humphries signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets. And Humphries made a playful reference to West’s line about Jay-Z via Twitter shortly after signing his new deal.
I'm up at Brooklyn!@S_C_"lucky I didn't have Jay drop me from the team" lol!
