Eminem Confirms Slaughterhouse For Hot 97's Summer Jam, Begins Recording New Album

Eminem says that he's "starting to toy" with ideas for his next LP.

Eminem hopped on the phone with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg to announce that his Shady Records signees Slaughterhouse will be performing at Summer Jam, taking place on June 3rd.

The Detroit, Michigan rapper announced that the quartet will hit the stage during the event, which will also feature performances from Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, Maybach Music Group and more.

"Yeah, well I actually talked to the guys and they want to do it. So I guess we'll just make it official? Slaughterhouse performing Summer Jam, June 3rd," he said, sharing advice for the group. "Just be themselves. Be them. I really feel like, this group, like you said, I feel like Hip Hop needs this. And I think people will see when this album comes out."

Marshall Mathers also revealed that he has begun work on the follow-up project to 2010's Recovery.

"Well, right now, I'm finishing up everything on the Slaughterhouse album and kind of getting into my next record a little bit. There's basically a couple things I've been working on. I'm starting to toy."
