Connecticut emcee Illus will release his album Family First next week, May 29. The 12-track album was produced by Illus and veteran Public Enemy/Bomb Squad affiliate Johnny Juice. The album’s concept is related to Illus recently becoming a father, welcoming a son to his family.
The self-released project also features veteran emcees including Apathy, Ill Bill, J-Live and Blueprint. This week, Illus released a video to “The Gift,” featuring Blueprint.
