A lot of times artists will promise a mixtape or suggest the release of one…and then never seal the deal. We saw this many times this year and last year, as artists like Meek Mill and Ace Hood planned a mixtape (and then decided not to) and then Drake and Rick Ross planned the Y.O.L.O. project (still waiting on that one). For a while, we really thought that Lloyd Banks was teasing us with that V6 mixtape. However, we’re coming closer to it becoming an actual reality. Lloyd Banks just revealed the cover art to V6: The Gift. While that doesn’t mean it’s a surefire thing, artwork is a definite sign it may happen. What else is happening is Azealia Banks’Fantastic mixtape coming this summer. Banks has been mentioning a few projects, including a debut album in the Fall, but it’s looking like Fantastic will be the real litmus test. In the meantime, peep her latest leak “Jumanji.”
As for solid dates, the May dates have basically stayed the same, but June has some new additions. Shawty Lo will be dropping Million Dollar Man on June 15th, sharing that date with the long awaited Rubber Band Rrarri from Jurrarri. The next day 40 Glocc will deliver Seedz Of Makaveli. Will there be a guest appearance from the Tupac hologram? Probably not.
