Roc Nation producer Jahlil Beats recently chopped it up with XXLMag.com, explaining how he and Jay-Z are working on new music together. Though he wouldn’t go into detail, Jahlil said that he has been sending tracks to Hov and that he settled on a few instrumentals, but that they’re definitely working with one another for an unnamed project.

“Me and Jay-Z been going back and forth. He picked a couple of my joints that he’s working on. I don’t even wanna say too much about Jay, but we definitely working on some stuff. I haven’t even sent him a bunch of beats. I sent him my favorite stuff. He hit me right back like, ‘Yo, I’ma go in on this,’ or, ‘I like this.’”

The 24-year-old also said that he’s been working with No I.D. on ironing out a “situation,” stating that the veteran producer is taking him under his wing like he did with Kanye West. He also confirmed that he’s cut a few tracks with J. Cole, Big Sean and Busta Rhymes.
