Jadakiss recently stopped by DJ Whoo Kid’s studio to plug his Consignment mixtape on Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 radio show. During the interview, Kiss talked about his work with Kanye West on the recently released remix to Chief Keef’s smash “I Don’t Like” with Big Sean, Pusha T and ‘Ye himself. Jada explained that the remix is one of many records that he and the Louis Vuitton Don have in the stash.

“Look out for some big things from me and ‘Ye in the near future. [‘I Don’t Like’ remix], that’s a record we did – Chief Keef, Chi-Town, he’s got some fire coming with me,” he explained. “Ye passed me that joint to get on, along with some other records…I guess they respect where I come from, ‘cus I’ma voice my opinion if I feel weird and shit’s not going right…when I went, it was all love. It was just good people and good music.”

Jada also spoke about his approach to writing a song as compared to 50 Cent’s style, who starts off writing the track’s hook. Kiss said that while he usually ends up penning the lyrics first, he doesn’t knock 50’s tactics, recalling how Jay-Z even praised the Queens rapper’s hooks in a conversation.

“It goes with what the beat’s telling me. Sometimes I’ll get the hook first, but most times I’ll get the bars, though, because that’s just my element of the game,” Jada said. “That’s why Fif was another kind of monster, because his hook game was on a whole ‘nother level. Me and Hov was talking about it one time, and he was like, ‘Yo, this guy’s hooks are crazy.'”
