It’s been less than 24 hours since Kanye West debuted his DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris-assisted song “Theraflu,” and the single already has the Internet buzzing. Now, the song’s producer Hit-Boy speaks on crafting another hit with Yeezy.

In a recent interview with XXL, Hit-Boy spoke on the song, saying that he had originally sent it to DJ Khaled for his album. Although there some question as to whether the track will remain on Khaled’s project or end up on Ye’s next album, the “Niggas in Paris” said that he and Yeezy felt like it was the right time to unleash it on the masses.

“I made that beat a couple months ago, just in a session messing around,” he explained. “I had sent the beat to Khaled, and Khaled, he sent it to ‘Ye. ‘Ye just did the record maybe a week and a half ago. We actually don’t know if it’s going to be on Khaled’s album or ‘Ye’s album. We just put it out because we felt like it was so urgent, people just needed to hear it. Obviously, the proof is in the pudding. That joint is everywhere now.”
