Harry Fraud explains his production process, J-Zone talks life after Hip Hop and Complex lists their favorite 100 LPs or the past decade.

Over the past few years, producer Harry Fraud has established himself as one of the most buzzed about beatsmiths, cutting tracks with the likes of French Montana and Action Bronson. Now, after the success of Montana's Lords of the Underground-sampling "Shot Caller," NPR sat down with the budding producer to discuss his craft and his love for the golden era of '90s Hip Hop.

Last year, storied emcee/producer chronicled his retirement from Hip Hop music in the critically-acclaimed biography Root for the Villain: Rap, Bullshit and a Celebration of Failure. Now, in a recent interview with the Boston Phoenix, the rapper-turned-author/college professor discusses his decision to leave the music game and how his life has changed since he hung the mic.
