The previous collaborator with Lu and Tinie reveals he and producer iSHi had a sequel to "Written In The Stars" in mind for the recent single.
After appearing on Lupe Fiasco's "Break The Chain" and Tinie Tempah's "Written In The Stars" singer Eric Turner reunited with the two emcees on "Angels & Stars". In a statement, Turner explained his decision to collaborate with the 1st & 15th founder and Capitol Records label-mate in a genre-fusing track.
“[Producer] iSHi and I wanted to do something with the ‘Written In The Stars’ sound, but a little bit darker,” said Turner. “I’ve been working a lot of with Tinie [Tempah] and with Lupe [Fiasco], and iSHi and I decided we wanted to do a song with both Tine and Lupe on it. It would be one of the first songs where you got one of the biggest rappers in America together with the biggest rapper in England. We thought that would be an interesting thing.”
The "Angels & Stars" video is slated to premiere this Friday, February 3. The song will appear on Turner's forthcoming Capitol solo debut.
