Rap Release Dates: Joe Budden, Kid CuDi, Copywrite, AraabMuzik

We’re already halfway through the first month of 2012, and alot has happened. Jay-Z and Beyoncé had a child, she already ended up on a song , Common got at Drake in a song , and Rick Ross delivered a mixtape . All in all, some productive things have happened in the world of Hip Hop. Fear not, there’s more where that came from.

This week is an Indie fan’s heaven. Necro brings The Murder Murder Kill Kill EP, while Koncept of the Brown Bag AllStars delivers Awaken. UK fave Dizzee Rascal is a Boy In Da Corner (he’s not Indie though), and ATG comes with The Susan Sarandon Story. ATG’s track “All In the Game” leaked a short while back and it features the legendary Kool G Rap. Add Copywrite’s God Save the King to the Indie pool, but you’ll have to wait until the end of February on that. No word yet on where Juvenile’s Rejuvenation went, but hopefully it’s still a thing. To close out the month, AraabMuzik will deliver an instrumental album aptly titled Instrumental University on January 31st. Clams Casino did it, so why wouldn’t AraabMuzik?

Like we reported last week, specialty sets are running 2012. Lord Finesse will release The Art Of Diggin: Blue Note State Of Mind as a Limited Editon set with a cardboard LP replication. Joe Budden will be dropping a Mood Muzik box set with every Volume on February 21st. It’ll cost a little over $70, but it’s certainly worth it for fans of the New Jersey emcee. He shares that date with Monica’s New Life. In other R&B news, Estelle is dropping All Of Me on February 28th. Will she be rhyming on that one? We’ll have to wait and see. And lastly (forreal this time), Kid CuDi and Dot Da Genius’ WZRD has been moved from end of January to end of February.

    2. Apollo Brown & OC will be the best album on here. Other than that Gift of Gab, Premo & Bumpy Knuckles, Planet Asia and Copywrite all deserve a listen.
