Wiz Khalifa was recently with two nominations for the 2012 Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Black and Yellow.” Speaking with Hot 97’s Kay Foxx, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native reflected on the honor, stating that he received the news while performing.

“I did not think I was going to get nominated for a Grammy for that song. I was just coming off stage,” he said. “I think I was in Boston and I wasn’t able to go to the nomination ceremony, so I was on stage and they were like you got nominated for two. And I freaked out. It was a cool way to lose my cool. I did a little dance.”

He also spoke on filming his upcoming movie Mac and Devin Go to High School and how contrary to what people think, he and Snoop Dogg were always to set on time and worked hard.
