Fabolous Hopes To "Bring Warmth" To NYC, Starts Coat Drive
The MLB's Robinson Cano, NFL's Ahmad Bradshaw, Hot 97, Def Jam & New York Cares team up with Fabolous to bring coats to New Yorkers in need.
With the cold weather already causing some to run for their coats, Fabolous has decided to "give warmth to the city of New York," with help from others, according to a press release. The Brooklyn emcee's A Faboulous Way Foundation has teamed up with New York Yankees' Robinson Cano and New York Giants' Ahmad Bradshaw for its first annual 3 Kings Coat Drive.
During the month of November, supporters of the cause can drop off new or gently used winter coats, hats and scarves at Dr. Jays retail stores in New York City and New Jersey. All sizes are welcome. All of the donated garments will then be given to New York Cares to distribute to thousands of New Yorkers in need.
All of the parties involved, Dr. Jays, Def Jam, New York Cares, Hot 97 and A Fabolous Way, have a goal to collect 100,000 coats this winter. Drop-ff locations can be found at Fabolous' organization's site.
