DX News Bits: Fabolous, Roc Raida, CMJ Music Festival

Fabolous joins MTVU's Campus Invasion Tour, DJ Premier and others come together to celebrate the life of the late Grandmaster Roc Raida, and the CMJ Fest unites deejays and emcees from all over the globe.
Fabolous will join Jason Derulo, Chiddy Bang, Jay Sean, and others on MTVU's Campus Invasion tour. The festival, which will run until November 3, will stop at Kean University in New Jersey, University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Wayne State University in Detroit, and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Fabolous, however, will only appear at the October 20 event in Florida.
The annual CMJ Music Festival has also announced the lineup for its Planet Hip Hop! event. The festival will last for five days and will showcase the talents of eight acts from eight different countries including Syria, Singapore, Uganda, Russia, and the Philippines.
Beginning on October 18th and lasting until the 22nd in New York City, the music fest will offer panels, meet and greets, seminars, and a marathon of artists and deejays.
Finally, in honor of the late Grandmaster Roc Raida's legacy to Hip Hop, DJ A-Trak, DJ Premier, and the X-ecutioners will appear at an event put on in his name. The former X-ecutioner and turntablist died in 2009 from injuries following a martial arts accident.
The event will be held at the Brooklyn Bowl and is open to adults with a cover of $25. It takes place on Tuesday, October 25 at 7 P.M.
