Rap Release Dates: Jedi Mind Tricks, Wale, Yelawolf, Action Bronson & Statik Selektah

Statik Selektah plans for releases in October and November, while Freddie Gibbs arrives on Halloween, as November packs some big names before Thanksgiving.

Remember last month when October was the month we were waiting for in music? J. Cole came correct at the close of September, along with Phonte, 9th Wonder, Evidence and a few others. Still, October had big things planned, with Drake and Yelawolf slated for releases. Not to mention Cam'ron and Vado and the ever so teasing TM:103 from Jeezy. Well, all of that seems like one big Detox memory. However, there are still some glimmers of hope and plenty to be thankful for once Thanksgiving rolls around the end of November.

Before all of that though, the remaining two weeks of October have some stuff going on. This week is pretty slow, but the final full week in October shows some indie kings putting their best bars forward. Freestyle Fellowship, Jedi Mind Tricks, Marq Spekt & Kno plus Snowgoons & Reef the Lost Cauze all drop albums on the 25th. They share that date with 40Glocc's New World Agenda and R&B reeases from Boyz II Men and Melanie Fiona. Statik Selektah also will drop Population Control. Statik's been everywhere as of late, and will continue to do so next month as he drops Well Done with Action Bronson on November 22nd.

Rewinding some, Freddie Gibbs closes out October with Cold Day In Hell on Halloween. A day later, Wale's Ambition arrives along with many others. A week later sees Tech N9ne's collaborative effort Welcome To Strangeland (listen to "The Noose" with ¡MAYDAY!), along with Mac Miller's Blue Slide Park and finally Pusha T's Fear Of God 2: Let Us Pray (check out a few snippets ). Drake will finally bring Take Care on November 15th. He was just on SNL with Nicki Minaj performing another Take Care cut called "Make Me Proud." Yelawolf will make us proud a week later with Radioactive. Until then, relive his BET Hip Hop Awards cypher rap .
