Q-Tip has announced an upcoming Michael Jackson Birthday Tribute Show with special guest DJ Spinna. The event, taking place at New York City, New York’s Irving Plaza, will take place on Saturday, August 27th at 9 p.m.
“Michael Jackson was a huge influence on my music and was an inspiration to me and so many others. I want to bring people together to celebrate the man, his music and his legacy that will undoubtedly live on forever!” said Q-Tip in a statement.
The event is set to take place two days before what would have been MJ’s 53rd birthday. Q-Tip’s first Jackson birthday took place in 2009 and featured guest appearances from Mark Ronson, Spinna and a call from Quincy Jones.
