Amil served as the sole female rapper down with Roc-A-Fella Records crew in the early 2000s, but disappeared from the scene after releasing her sole album A.M.I.L. (All Money is Legal) and getting dropped from the label over rumored beef. But years later, the rapstress has reemerged, telling VIBE.com that she wishes that she could sit down with Jay-Z to provide some closure.

“I haven’t spoken to Jay in years but I really wish I could talk to him because that would just really bring closure to me. But he knows I love him,” she said. “People think there was bad blood between us, but there never was any bad blood. Things happen and I wasn’t ready for where my career was going at that time. It was really overwhelming.”

Earlier this week, a Twitter account that alleged to belong to Amil picked up some steam in the Twitterverse after shots were fired at everyone from Foxy Brown to Rick Ross. But Amil claims that the account was an impostor and that she has never had a Twitter or Facebook account.

“I’ve never had a Twitter or Facebook account. They’re just not for me,” she continued. “Sometimes things like this surprise me because I haven’t been in the spotlight in awhile, but when I come up it always seems to be something negative. That’s something I try my hardest to stay away from. It does bother me a little bit but I let it go after while.”
