Rhymefest’s history with Kanye West goes back many years. Besides both emcees hailing from Chicago, Rhymefest notably co-wrote Kanye’s hit “Jesus Walks.” ‘Ye returned the favor, appearing on two tracks on Fest’s debut album, Blue Collar, and producing one of them.
As such, the Chicago rapper has taken it upon himself to offer an opinion on Consequence’s beef with Kanye West.
After briefly addressing the matter on Wednesday (July 27) by saying that “[sic] every mans responsible for his own success,” Rhymefest took to Twitter again, elaborating on his position.

Rhymefest added, “But as far as Kanye and his real homies notice that none of the guys he started with from Chicago talk shit about him. None of us.”
