N.O.R.E. Speaks On Partnership With Busta Rhymes' Conglomerate Records

Noreaga clarifies the relationship between his Militainment shingle, Conglomerate Records and Violator Management.

Busta Rhymes recently announced that N.O.R.E. signed a deal to join his Conglomerate Records, later clarifying that it was more a merger of his shingle and Noreaga’s Militainment. Speaking with Vlad TV, N.O.R.E. further spoke on the partnership, explaining how he’s approaching his upcoming album S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G. as an event.

“It’s a partnership, so it’s different from where you’re announcing a person is down with the label. A lot of people took it as I’m signing, which is not the case,” clarified N.O.R.E. “I’m my own business. And I could only be stronger with the Conglomerate. But I think that he handled his business quite great because he said it and then he must have seen the speculation and then he went back and said, ‘No, I want y’all to know it’s a partnership.’ That’s something that’s in place right now that we look forward to doing.”

He further elaborated by explaining that Violator Management is involved in the deal, and that Chris Lighty helped to strategize how to reintroduce N.O.R.E. as a solo artist with his new album.

“But it’s not just the Conglomerate, it’s not just Militainment - it’s also Violator. Me, Busta and Chris Lighty, we came up with something. We said, ‘Let’s not just make it like N.O.R.E.’s coming back out. Let’s make it like N.O.R.E.’s coming back out with a motive to do something.’”
