50 Cent On The Fence About Staying With Interscope Records

Fif says that him staying with the label is contingent on how they handle his fifth solo release.

After claiming that label woes delayed his upcoming fifth album and soon after announcing a November release date, 50 Cent is weighing whether or not to ditch the label after it hits stores. Speaking with MTV News, the G-Unit general explained that his staying with Interscope depends on how they handle the release.

"I don't know," he said. "It will all be clear in the negotiations following me turning this actual album in. And, of course, the performance and how they actually treat the work will determine whether you still want to stay in that position or not."

He explained that if things didn’t go as planned, he could always fall back to being an independent artist.

"It's not like you're gonna be able to make a project bigger than the actual project is, but if the songs are right and you have full support and you feel that support, why would you want to go anywhere else?" he continued. "If not, if you don't have that support, why would you want to sign to another system? In the financial state that I'm in, you just do it yourself."
