R&B singer Nivea was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia this past weekend on suspicion of drunk driving and reckless driving.
According to TMZ, Lil Wayneâs babyâs mama was leaving a wedding reception for Toya Carter when, around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, she crashed her â06 Mercedes into a tree that had fallen during a storm. A kid was in the car with her, though he was uninjured and later released to her boyfriend.
When police arrived, the claimed she had âbloodshot, glassy eyes and smelled like alcohol.â She said she had only had three drinks throughout the night and didnât see traffic signals directing drivers away from the downed tree.

She later took to Twitter to dismiss allegations that she was driving under the influence.
