Prodigy On Lupe Fiasco Calling President Obama A Terrorist:

Exclusive: Mobb Deep's Prodigy voices his opinions on the government, along with new books and the new Mobb Deep album on the horizon.

Last week, rapper Lupe Fiasco told CBS News that he finds President Barack Obama to be "the biggest terrorist." The comment came as a shock to many. However, in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Prodigy of Mobb Deep says he shares Lupe's sentiments. "I would have to agree with him," Prodigy states in the upcoming interview. "Most of these politicians and these government officials…most of them are the real terrorists."

In the past, Prodigy has been known for inserting several references to the government and conspiracy theories in his rhymes. He explains to DX that during his time incarcerated, he kept up with politics and the ongoings of Obama's presidency. "Yeah, I was definitely checking [Obama] out and seeing what he was doing and what he was about," the veteran rapper states. "But I already knew ahead of time – I’ve been studying all that type of stuff since like 15,16 years old, so… You can’t pull the wool over my eyes. I already know what time it is." He goes on to say that Politics is misleading. "There’s nothing you can say to confuse me about any of that type of stuff. I know it’s all a game that they’re playing. It’s all a facade," he says.

Back in March, Prodigy was released from prison after serving a three-year bid for criminal possession of a weapon. He details his life's events in his autobiography My Infamous Life. Per Prodigy he has three other books in the works. While one on the conspiracy theories is not confirmed, Prodigy did explain he has a book coming about his prison experience. "I didn’t really get into that with the autobiography. It was more about my life outside of prison," he explains. "One of the books I wrote talks about my prison experience. It’s all about my prison experience, actually."

While book writing is his newfound love, music remains in the front seat - in the form of a new Mobb Deep album. "We’re shooting for like September, an end of the summer type thing," he says. "We’re throwing around titles right now."

In addition, Prodigy hints at a potential project with Nas, explaining Nas was one of the first people he worked with after being released from prison. "We’ve got a couple of joints in the stash. You’ll definitely hear a lot of that."

Stay tuned for the full exclusive interview with Prodigy on HipHopDX.
