Busta Rhymes Co-Signs Nicki Minaj's Move to Film

Bussa Bus jumps on the Nicki Minaj bandwagon, saying he thinks she should take on film next.

Ever since he captured listeners' attention with his raucous verse of A Tribe Called Quest's 1992 crew-cut "Scenario," Busta Rhymes has long been considered Hip Hop's most animated emcee. Now, the Brooklyn rapper passes the baton on to one of Hip Hop's newest eccentric acts, Nicki Minaj.

In a recent interview with SOHH, Bussa Bus commended Nikki's approach to the Hip Hop industry and her recent decision to parlay her rap stardom into silver screen acclaim. He said that Nicki has already accomplished so much in so few years that he thinks acting is the next logical step.

"I don't think there's anything missing from what she's doing," said Busta. "She's a new artist. She's doing more than what new artists do as far as being everywhere and having the success and acknowledgment that she's had. I'm just saying the only thing left for her to do, from what I can see, and not only the thing left for her to do but the next thing that I would like to see her do is films."

Just yesterday on June 7, Nicki stunned fans when she announced that she hopes to work with famed director Tim Burton and fellow rapper-turned-actor Will Smith. She already landed a starring role in an independent film Stuck on Broke, which also features rapper OJ Da Juiceman.

Busta Rhymes himself is no stranger to the silver screen. He has starred in a number of films, including Halloween: Resurrection,Finding Forrester and the Samuel L. Jackson reboot of Shaft.
