English rapper Tinie Tempah is well on his way to conquering the United States. The London, England native earned his first platinum plaque across the pond for his breakout hit “Written in the Stars” featuring Eric Turner, honored for crossing the one-million sales mark.
The 22-year-old, whose real name is Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, will release the Stateside version of his debut Disc-Overy tomorrow (May 17th). The album topped the charts in the U.K. upon release in October 2010, receiving double platinum certification last week for sales of 600,000 copies.
Disc-Overy includes guest appearances from Kelly Rowland, Ellie Goulding, Swedish House Mafia and more. The U.S. version of the album features three new songs including “Til I’m Gone” featuring Wiz Khalifa.
