Wu Tang’s own Ghostface Killah may have possibly been part of the inspiration behind a new beer from Colorado-based brewery Twisted Pine. The beer which is dubbed as being the “hottest beer this side of hell” is titled the “Ghost Face Killah” and features a skull engulfed in flames holding a pepper on its label.

According to a representative for the company they even reached out to Ghostface in regards to their new beer, but didn’t receive a response.

“We tried to get in touch with him, but we didn’t receive a call back,” Twisted Pine general manager Jody Valenta explained to the Los Angeles Times. “We wanted to contact Ghostface to set up a partnership with him.”

Valenta also explained that the name of the beer was also inspired by a character from the 1979 kung fu film Mystery Of Chessboxing. “Da Mystery Of Chessboxin’” is also the name of a track featured on Wu Tang’s debut album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

Created using a combination of five different peppers, including the sometimes lethal Bhut Jolokia pepper, the “Ghost Face Killah” beer will be available on a very limited basis. Only 100 bottles will be released by Twisted Pine.
