Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Sued For $27 Million By Mo Thugs Affiliate

The Cleveland, Ohio collective faces a major lawsuit from a former Mo Thugs Records associate.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has been sued for $27 million by former associate Roland Brown.

Brown filed the lawsuit on Thursday (April 28) for breach of contract over unpaid royalties related to a Mo Thugs Records album, reports AllHipHop.com.

The suit was filed in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Please in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The suit also names Sony, Ruthless Records, Relativity, Loud Records, WMG and Mo Thugs, Inc. as defendants.

Brown alleges that he wrote two songs on the multi-platinum album Mo Thugs Family Scriptures. Specifically, he alleges that he wrote “Take Your Time” and “Here With Me” by girl group Tre.

The lawsuit claims that Mo Thugs, Inc. paid no royalties, despite the album’s platinum status, and the platinum status of its follow-up, Mo Thug: Family Reunion.

Brown seeks $24 million in damages and $3 million in mechanical royalties for the single, music video, and Scriptures album.
