Pharrell expands his resume, while Travis Barker helps on Jeezy's fourth LP.
Pharrell has added a new artist to his considerable list of collaborators, as the producer of Neptunes fame will work with Gloria Estefan.
Pharrell will be co-writing and co-producing for the entire project, reports rap-up.com.
The album, Estefan's first English-language project since 2004's Unwrapped, is her 11th studio LP, and has been described as "high energy" and "dance-oriented."
The album is due later this year.
In other news, rap-up.com reports that Young Jeezy has recruited Travis Barker for his new album, Thug Motivation 103.
Barker, whose solo project Give the Drummer Some dropped last month, plays drums on the intro to the album, which is produced by Drumma Boy.
“I did an intro with Drumma Boy, maybe a couple of months ago,” said Barker. “It was amazing. It was like this epic, Braveheart-sounding intro.”
TM103, Jeezy's fourth solo album, is reportedly due this year.
