Rick Ross Signs Pill To Maybach Music Group, Speaks On Warner Deal
MMG absorbs one of Warner's hopefuls, as the third signing to the label in less than a month.
Atlanta, Georgia's Pill is the third artist signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group in less than a month. Also a member of Killer Mike's Grind Time Rap Gang, Pill was already signed to Warner Brothers/Asylum Records since last year. The artist moved often to Maybach, after the imprint moved distribution from Def Jam to Warner on many of its artists over the weekend.
"This deal with Warner Bros. Records has been a long time in the making and I'm confident we've found the best home for Maybach Music,” Rick Ross said in a statement released moments ago. “Together we're going to make hit records for years to come.”
The present roster at Maybach Music Group includes Wale, Meek Mill, Triple C's and the label's founder, Def Jam's Rick Ross.
