Eminem will headline the annual Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago’s Grant Park this year. According to the Chicago Tribune, Em will join The Foo Fighters, Muse, and three other unnamed main acts at the top of the bill.

Eminem’s appearance will be somewhat of a departure from his previous touring habits. Aside from album tours and his recent jaunt with Jay-Z, Em tends to lay low when it comes to the music festival forum. The announcement comes just a few days before the Grammy Awards, where Eminem’s Recovery will go up against Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster and Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream in the Best Album of the Year category.

Although the full Lollapalooza line-up will not be officially confirmed until April, other artists rumored to appear are Girl Talk, Lykke Li, and Best Coast. The festival will go from August 5-7.

UPDATE (04/26): After various reports that Eminem would headline the 20th anniversary Lollapalooza concert, festival organizers confirmed Em’s presence by releasing the official lineup. A complete list of performers is available at the official Lollapalooza website.
