Drizzy teams up with the fellow Grammy nominee after hitting it off at an awards show
The fact that Drake and Florence and the Machine are competing against each other for this year’s Best New Artist Award at the Grammy’s hasn’t kept the two rising stars from collaborating together on stage and in the studio. This past weekend Drake was joined by Florence Welch on both nights of his two night stint at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. The British Art-Rocker joined the Canadian emcee on two tracks from his debut, “Fireworks” and “Thank Me Later.”
The duo also did some recording together. Not much is known about the new song, such as if it will feature on Drake’s next album or Florence’s. The unlikely pair first met at last year’s MTV Awards and became fast friends, communicating steadily ever since.
Tune into the Grammy’s on February 13th to see which member of the eclectic pair walks away with the prize, and to examine the loser’s reaction shot to see if they are genuinely happy for the winner.
